Rappide Driver and Rappide User (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operate the Rappide Driver and Rappide User mobile applications (collectively referred to as the “Apps”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use our Apps.

The Apps collect location data to provide core ride-sharing functionality.

Rappide Driver App:
Collects precise and background location data during active trips to enable navigation, live trip tracking, fare calculation, and trip safety—even when the app is minimized or the screen is off.
Rappide User App:
Collects location data to identify nearby drivers, determine pickup and drop-off points, and allow real-time trip tracking during active rides.
Location data is collected only when required for ride-related functionality and is not tracked when the driver is offline.
We may collect:
App usage data (such as trip history and interactions)
Device information (device model, operating system)
IP address (for security and fraud prevention)
We use collected data to:
Enable ride requests and trip completion
Provide real-time navigation and routing
Share live trip progress between drivers and users
Calculate fares and distances accurately

Enhance app performance and reliability
The Apps use foreground services with a persistent notification when necessary to:
Continuously access location during active trips
Sync driver availability, trip progress, and ride status
Ensure reliable real-time updates and navigation
Foreground services are active only while the driver is online or on an active trip and stop once the trip ends or the driver goes offline.
Background location access is used only during active trips to:
Maintain continuous trip tracking
Allow riders to view live driver movement
Ensure uninterrupted navigation when the app is not actively open
The Apps do not collect background location data when the driver is offline or no trip is active.
We may share information:
Between drivers and users during active trips (live location and trip details)
With trusted service providers who support app functionality
When required by law or legal processes
We do not sell or rent personal or location data to third parties.
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
Encrypted data transmission
Restricted access to sensitive information
Regular system monitoring and security reviews
